An element management body (EMS) manages the single or even sir thomas more of a specific nature and severity of network elements (NEs). An EMS allows a user to handle all a features of both NE one by one, but not the communication between NEs - this is treat the network management system (NMS).

NEs expose 1 or even extra management interfaces that the EMS utilizes to communicate by owning & to handle the babies. These management interfaces have the kind of protocols including SNMP, TL1, CLI, XML, and CORBA.
